What’s Involved?
You can receive up to $50 for participating in the Family Safety Research Project.
Here's what you NEED to participate:
1. Valid email address and telephone number.
2. Access to a computer with a high-speed Internet connection.
3. Must be a resident of the United States.
Here’s what you DO to participate:
1. Answer a few questions here at this web site to determine if you are eligible to participate.
2. Only 1 person per household can participate.
3. If you qualify for the study, you will be sent an email to verify your email address. After responding to the email, you will be contacted by our staff to determine your final eligibility and schedule an appointment.
4. If you qualify and decide to volunteer, you will be scheduled to participate in an evaluation of our research project. Part of the evaluation will be in-person and another part will be via the Internet. Participants in the research project will be randomly assigned (like the flip of a coin) to one of two groups. If you are in Group 1, you will be asked to view a web program on ways you can help prevent injuries to your child. If you are in Group 2, you will read materials on ways you can help prevent injuries to your child. Both groups will be asked to review materials online for 30 days after the first session, then take a final survey at a computer website. People who participate will receive up to $50 for their time--$20 cash for the in-person session and a $30 check when you finish the final survey 30 days later.
